With the new 2020 rules from Environment Agency regarding the discharge of Septic Tanks to running water courses, this installation was to replace a septic tank with a modern Klargester Bioficient Sewage Treatment Plant discharging to the brook that runs alongside the property.
The existing septic tank was huge and we believed it was a shared system at some point in its life, as it was so large we had to use steel section to support the new foul drain run going into the new Klargester and put a reinforced concrete cap over them as the top of the septic tank had to be cut away so as sufficient falls could be maintained.
